Optical Brightener Masterbatch

Polyolefins, polystyrene, polyesters and other engineering plastics naturally exhibit a slight yellowish tint that conventional colour masterbatches cannot completely eliminate. RSPIMB Optical Brightener Masterbatch solves this by absorbing ultraviolet radiation and re-emitting it as visible blue light, neutralising the inherent yellow tint for a cleaner, brighter, "whiter-than-white" finish. Performance depends on the base polymer colour and dosage — typically starting around 0.2% and increased in steps until the desired brightness is achieved. Highly effective at low dosages, it delivers excellent results in pastel, white, transparent and dark shades, performs well in recycled polymers and synthetic fibres such as PP, PET and nylon, and shows no migration at recommended concentrations, excellent heat stability and no adverse effect on sealing or printability.
